Assistant Principal
Jesse brings over 23 years of work with youth ages 6-18. His life experiences as the son of a single mother, a graduate of Denver Public Schools, and a first-generation college student have fueled and enhanced his passion for education equity, athletics, and the importance of building relationships.
Prior to serving as the assistant principal at WAIS, he was the athletic director at Westminster High School, a dean of students at Thornton High School, and a head football coach and physical education teacher at Abraham Lincoln High School. His work has been grounded in doing what is best for students while developing high expectations and building cultures of trust.
